Frosting AI vs PornWorks: What Happens to Credits During a Break?

Separate a one-month promotional grant from purchased token rules before leaving a creative account unused.

A balance of 1,000 tokens may look more useful than a smaller one, but only if the tokens are available when the project resumes. A reader taking several weeks away from image or video work needs to compare validity conditions, not just the number displayed beside an account.

Frosting and PornWorks expose two specific rules that affect that decision. They apply to different kinds of balance. Treating them as a universal “one month versus three months” price comparison would misrepresent both sources.

First identify where the balance came from

Frosting’s October 2026 newsletter advertises a 1,000-video-token reader grant and says those tokens last one month. It supplies a sign-in claim route. This is promotional-grant evidence, not the expiry policy for every paid Frosting entitlement or a guarantee that the claim succeeds for every account.

PornWorks’ Payments and Virtual Tokens section says unused tokens purchased outside a subscription expire three months after purchase. Its wording does not establish the same deadline for subscription allowances or promotional grants. It also describes tokens as non-transferable service units rather than redeemable cash, with sales generally final subject to the stated legal/discretionary exceptions.

Balance you actually have Rule supported by these sources What you should not infer
Frosting newsletter video-token grant One-month stated validity All paid Frosting credits expire in one month
PornWorks tokens bought outside a subscription Three months after purchase for unused tokens Every subscription or bonus balance uses that clock
A different allowance or promotion Inspect that offer’s own terms A rule for another balance type automatically applies

A pause can matter more than the pack size

Suppose you intend to take roughly six weeks away from a project. A newly claimed Frosting newsletter grant with a one-month life does not cover that whole pause under the announcement’s stated duration. Claiming it before leaving would not make it a durable reserve for your return.

A newly purchased PornWorks non-subscription balance has a different stated horizon. But if the purchase is already ten weeks old, its original three-month window is not a fresh three months from the day you next sign in. The condition is tied to purchase, not to your last remembered use.

These examples are calendar-planning implications of the policies, not account observations. Neither source in this comparison explains every ledger rule, such as which balance is spent first when bonus and purchased tokens coexist. Do not assume an arbitrary test generation renews the remaining balance or changes its expiry.

Record the deadline before you leave

Open the transaction or grant record and retain its date, balance type, stated expiry and receipt or offer text. If an exact expiry timestamp is displayed in the account, use it rather than converting “month” into an assumed fixed number of days. A newsletter publication date alone is insufficient to establish when your own grant was applied.

If a mixed balance has no visible expiry detail, ask support a narrow question: “Which portion expires first, on what date, and does usage consume that portion before purchased tokens?” That is more answerable than asking whether credits last forever.

Do not spend tokens solely to avoid losing them if no useful work is ready. Finish or save the creative brief and authorized assets separately, so a remaining balance does not dictate the scope of your next project.

The purchase decision supported by the rules

For a short, ready-to-run Frosting experiment, an eligible newsletter grant may have immediate value. It should not be counted as a long-term allowance. For occasional PornWorks use, buy non-subscription tokens with their purchase-linked deadline in mind; a large pack does not remove that restriction.

If the ability to return after an unspecified long break is essential, these two rules do not establish a suitable indefinite reserve. Resolve the exact entitlement first, then choose the smallest commitment that covers the project you can actually complete in its valid period.

Sources and scope

This comparison separates documented capabilities from editorial interpretation. Source access and any limitations are described in the article; a suggested evaluation is not a claim of completed testing.
